I have for sale my beloved Santa Cruz Butcher 2011″.

This is new model issued by Santa Cruz in 2011, filling the gap in company’s offer. It’s equipped with new APP suspension system and a tapered headtube.

The Butcher was designed to excel at this kind of terrain, yet still be
responsive enough to handle the tech-y climbs (at 6000ft plus) and flat
out rock gardens that are an inevitable part of monster downhills – ideal for guys  looking for perfect Enduro/All Mountain machine. It offers You 150 mm rear travel and 110/130/150 mm delivered by front forks – great Fox Talas RL 2010.

Butcher is upgraded. I added COMPLETLY NEW red Turner setpost, red spacers and red cables. It’s also equipped with white Superstar wheels (could switch them to default Hope wheelset) and Shimano XT crankset. 

Bike is in mint condition with new headset bearings and new bushing kit for Fox RP23.

There are only minor cracks on the frame – nothing serious. Bike’s Milage: about 1000 miles.

This my Santa Cruz Heckler, which I am selling as I have bought a new bike and need the space. I have owned this bike since new. The rear swing arm was replaced, feb 2011, due to a crack in the old one.The frame pivot bearings were replaced when the new swing arm was fitted, along with the bearings in both wheel hubs and the rear axel was changed at the same time too. I have built this bike with racing the Enduro series in mind. If you require any other information or pictures please contact me.

This is THE “one for all” bike!

I built it up myself mid last year ago with no expense spared (many people use this term but their builds still have some components which have been compromised) I built up this bike using the “DIRT 100 Products 2011″ magazine (for those who are into biking this is the magazine to read to check out what components are most highly rated and wanted by the professionals)

Let’s start with the frame:

It’s a Santa Cruz Blur 4x (Long size) I bought this used as they are no longer in production. I searched for 6 months to find the best frame. This particular one was one of the last off the production line being a late 2009 in white. It’s running a Fox RP23 shock and the ride is sublime. The reviews of this frame speak for themselves. People adore it and having ridden it I can see why! It has a mark around the downtube where a front mech was mounted and one of the “blur 4x” stickers on the top tube is slightly torn. Other than these tiny marks the frame is perfect. 

The forks are Marzocchi 55 RC3 Ti. The ultimate Marzocchi do it all forks. These are 2011 forks with a 2010 purple colourway. They are bedded in out of the box and are the best forks I have ridden. These forks are so light and the titanium internals make the weight similar to that of an air fork.

The brakes are Formula The One with 180mm rotors front and rear. Again these are the brakes to have for all mountain riding. they are as light as cross country brakes but have so much power ready for the downhills. pure fit and forget! I bought them used however they were only used once and have a v.small scratch on one of the levers (Hardly noticeable).

The wheelset is so so trick. They are Mavic Crosssmax SX. They are super expensive and so light but ridiculously strong. They are UST ready and spin really fast. The acceleration is amazing! Did I mention they look trick?!

The cranks are Shimano Saint M810 170mm long with a single Renthal machined chainring (so light). The black and gold looks amazing.

The headset is a Rasta Chris King. Chris King headsets are fantastic

The stem is a Thompson X4. The standard for a super strong and light stem.

Thre bars are gold Answer pro taper DH bars – They were 780mm but have been cut down to 720mm as a personal preferance.

Grips are Troy Lee Designs ODI which are super grippy and tacky.

Tyres are Maxxis High Roller 2.35″ LUST tubeless ready. I am running an inner tube in the rear as on my first ride aI got a puncture and I haven’t have chance to put and sealant in them yet.

the Seatpost is a Thomson layback. Again it’s a benchmark of precision and lightweight and strength.

The saddle is a Charge spoon. These are relatively cheap but they win every test and I love it (I have them fitted to all my bikes).

The running gear is the new 1 x 10 setup. It’s fantastic! I have a SRAM X9 10 speed 2011 shifter with a SRAM X9 rear derailleur with a 10 speed SRAM hollowpin chain and a sram 10 speed 11 – 32 tooth cassette. An MRP 1X chain guide.

The bike is finished off with goodridge hoses.

As you can hopefully tell a lot f thought, time, money and care went into this build and the bike is a thing of beauty. These bikes are really big at the moment. It weighs about 30lbs (light!) and can be pedaalled all day on an XC epic or raced downhill. As mentioned before the only used parts are thhe frame and brakes but they have only been slightly used and are in fantastic condition…. the rest of the parts are brand spanking new! As mentioned before the ride is sublime, I cannot praise it enough, I have only ridden the bike twice since building it up! I took it to Wales to ride the Marin trial in Snowdon and I’ve been out with my Wife round a local reservoir. This bike is dripping with ultimate parts and has been envied by everyone who has seen it. It’s the perfect bike and I love it. Unfortunately (fortunateely for you!) I have just got my motorbike license so I’ve been told if I want a motorbike then another has to go to fund it. This bike is being sold due to a lack of funds. 
It was built up to the highest spec possible. No corners were cut when selecting components for this build, and as a result it came to a cost of around £7500 brand new. The bike has had one owner and has literally been ridden twice from new. The photographs were taken yesterday to show the bike exactly as it will be on collection. Since being taken out of the box, the frame has been protected with transparent plastic sheaths and chain-stay protectors etc (which are easily removed), this means that the frame is as new. This entire bike really is in PERFECT condition, with not a single mark worth mentioning.  
The bike is being sold with two spare pairs of tyres (NEW) for varying conditions, the original steel coil, alternate top clamp for forks and any other un used original parts such as extra chainrings and maintenance equipment etc.
